I worked for David for a few years in LR in the AP&L Tax Department. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. He was a cheerful and nice boss!!
So sorry to hear of this tragedy!

Dave was one of the finest gentlemen I ever had the privilege of working with and calling a friend. He had such a beautiful smile and always made you laugh. He will be sorely missed. I know there is nothing that we can do to help ease your pain, but know that there are a lot of people praying for you and your family. With deepest sympathy.
Please accept my condolences for the lost of your loved one, David. I will continue to pray for your family that God will continue to give you the strength you need to get through these difficult days.
Troyetta my heart hurts for you knowing the loss you must feel. You and your family will be in my prayers daily for comfort and Gods blessing.
Troyetta and all the Wright family - so very, very sorry for your loss. David will be missed by all whose lives he touched. Such a tradgedy - try to take comfort knowing he was surrounded by Angels and was lifted into eternal peace. In this most difficult time for the family, we extend our deepest sympathy and keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

I've known David since our days at UCA as fraternity brothers and as part of the athletic family we shared back in the 70's where freindships were made that will last forever. I had the great fortune to share a few days every year with him on our annual golf outing in the spring where he tried his best to take care of his "flock" of "golfers". His laughter and wise crack comments will be sorely missed by me and the rest of the fellas.
I don't have the words to express what David meant to me. I knew him for 31 years and actually worked for him for the past 27 years. He was a wonderful person who made a difference in the lives of all he met. We were a part of the Entergy family, but he was also kind enough to share his Wright family with me. This still all seems so surreal. I'll miss you, David. I love you. To Troy, Jimmy, Mindy and all his family, he is watching over you all. There was no one else like him on earth. He will be an angel like no other!
Dave was my first and favorite boss at Entergy. He was a great mentor over the years. He will be deeply missed on so many levels. I hope Troyetta, Jimmy, Mindy, and the rest of Dave's family can find some comfort that Dave had such a positive and lasting impact on so many lives. Dave's family will continue to be in my family's prayers.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I am so sorry for your loss. Dave was such a great guy with a gentle spirit and the softest voice. He will be missed. Please know that you are covered in prayers. Mindy Jones/Entergy - Austin TX

Knowing he had a successful career - Most of all - I know he was even more successful as the best husband and father in the world - My Prayers to all - David will be deeply missed -- Love Kraig

Fellow Entergy employee
The family in our prayers. I worked with David for approx 15 years. I've been gone since 1996, but friendships and memories last forever.
David and I were fraternity brothers in college. We all knew that David would be successful in whatever career he chose because he was smart, likable, hard working , dedicated, easy to get along with, just a first class guy. When he and I would see each other in LR over the years we always laughed at some of the antics during our college days. I am fortunate to call him friend and I will miss him. Prayers to his family.
My sympathies to Dave's family. He was such a personable person and always had a kind word. His son Jimmy & my daughter graduated high school together and Dave & I felt we had a kinship because of that. We saw each other at work, as well as at events at Bryant Schools. I was so saddened by this, but feel that he is in a better place. May God comfort you during this time of unease and unanswered questions.
What a great loss for everyone. David touched so many lives in so many ways. Your video tribute was very touching -- so many great memories. I was a colleague of his for many, many years at Entergy until my retirment. I also had the privilege of playing golf and blackjack with him many times. My thoughts & prayers are with each of you as you struggle to deal with this unfortunate loss. Peace.
To the Wright Family:
I met David years back through my career at Entergy and immediately knew he was a special person. Truely there are no comforting words....please accept my sincere sympathy. I will keep the entire family in my prayers.

You have our sympathy for your great loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Wright family. I bear witness to the early childhood formation of David's character. We were in Mrs. Oaks 2nd grade class at Fuller Elementary and throughout our school years together, he persisted in being a good example of using his blessings of intellect, thoughtfulness, self-sacrifice, kindness, grace, and friendship. (Although, not too fast running the 3-mile Shamburger Lane.) His passing is a tragic loss for those who knew him. Again, his family has our sympathies.
I don't know David personally but I am a fellow employee. My heart and prayers go out to the family.
Our dear friend Cindy Layne was a co-worker of David's and spoke so highly of him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as well as the Entergy family as you walk through this great loss. May God's best comforting angels surround you and sustain you through this time and in the days to come.

To David’s family,
I met this wonderful man through a mutual acquaintance (David Curtis) many years ago, and immediately knew that he was a truly unique and special person. Even though we only spent time together on the golf courses of Gulfport/Biloxi on our yearly outing, I can honestly say that I enjoyed every minute of his company. The news of your loss was shocking as well as devastating.
May I express my grief and send the prayers of my family your way.
As our foursomes grow smaller each year in Biloxi, the golf games grow livelier in Heaven. David…may all your shots be long and straight, and may all your putts be gimmies.
Bill
So sorry for your loss as a family and Entergy's loss. May God be especially close to you at this time.

We are in still in shock & can only imagine how Troyetta, Helen & the rest of the family are. I have many fond memories of my childhood & most of them involve the good times shared with the Wright family. David & Holly were like siblings to my family, & JD & Helen my extra parents. And of course Jackie knew David from shared classes @ UCA. We will not be able to attend visitiation tomorrow night, but know we are there in spirit. Our prayers are with you all; asking for the peace that only God can give. Love to all.
Troyetta
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Love You!

David was so proud of his family and loved all of you very much. He could always make me laugh, especially when I was upset at something he and Joe had done (younger days) . I will miss him-he was a good friend. All of you will be in my prayers.

I remember always having a laugh with David as he was perched in his recliner. He had more Elmer Martin one-liners than I can remember. I will pray for you guys during this trying period. Some of my most memorable times were spent with you guys and I mourn for your loss.

My thoughts and prayers are with Dave and his family. Dave was an inspiration and gift to those whose lives he touched, bringing humor, intelligence, and an always practical approach to even the most complex matters. I will miss him deeply.
David was a very good friend of my brothers ( Cleon Rogers, Jr.) since grade school and he will be truly missed. My prayers are with his family and God will take care of them in this very bad time in their life.
My dad (Bill Morgan) taught a Sunday school class I attended along with David and other SweetHome and Fourche Island kids, those were sure good times. I can still se David arriving at church with Mrs Ruth Wright.

What a shock! Jim Russenberger sent me the clipping from the paper and I sent it on to Barbara. We are both so sorry. It has been a while since I saw David, but not so long since I saw Helen. I know she is devestated. I don't know when the services are and whether I can be there. Again, my sympathies are with the family and friends.
We are all in shock about the news. My prayers are with you, Troyetta and the family. May God give you a peaceful heart and lots of pleasant memories.
Dave shared so many good times with his golf friends whether on the ride over to the village, on the course or when the accountant calculated how much money we owed him. I could always count on Dave to help me figure how I was going to miss a 2 ft birdie putt, and on the rare chance I made it to cap me from 25 ft. He was a good friend and I'll miss him. Troy, Jimmie and Mindy...he was always telling me the latest on how you were doing and how the kids were growing.
I just want you guys to know that I love your family and have great memories growing up with Mindy. I remember the trips to Branson and Hot Springs with David and Troyetta. You guys are in my prayers and thoughts during this hard time.
My deepest sympathies to Troy and all the family. Dave was a colleague and a dear friend. In his professional life, which I witnessed for most of my own career, Dave was the very best in the industry at what he did. As a friend, he could always make me laugh when I was down, and he could always, always get us to the "bottom line" in any discussion. I shall miss his gentle humor and his keen judgment. Please know that prayers of literally thousands of people touched by Dave are with all of you.
Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with your family right now. I wish there was something I could say or do to help you all through this most difficult time. Dave is now your guardian angel and will watch over you.
I keep each of you in my prayers. God bless.
