Ben Aaron Dodd, 74, of Marianna passed away on Friday, September 30, 2011.
He was born on January 29, 1937 in West, Mississippi to George and Kate Simmons Dodd. Ben served in the Military, and was later a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion. He was Electrical Engineer and Supervisor at D&L in Marianna, retiring after 20 years of service. He was of the Baptist faith.
Ben is survived by wife Alice Faye Dodd of Marianna, AR; son Ben Aaron Dodd, Jr. (Rhonda) of Greenbrier, AR; daughters Martha Fleming (Kelly), Katie McNeal (Ted) and Kim Cagle, all of the Attala County area; step-children Teresa Salicrup (Jose) of Plano, TX, Marilyn Prusak (Paul) of Frisco, TX; David Brown (Dee) of Marianna, Michael Anderson (Janie) of Marianna; 14 grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and 1 step-great grandchild; brothers Sam Dodd Sr. (Betty) and David L. Dodd ( Sandy); sisters Mary Katherine Browning and Sue Fleming (Jack).
He was preceded in death by his wife Emily Oakes Dodd; parents, George and Kate Simons Dodd; and brothers Hugh Allen Dodd and Bill Dodd.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 3, 2011 at Brister Cemetery in Kosciusko, MS; under the direction of Jordan Funeral Home. (For more information, call 662-289-5521.)
Visitation will be Saturday, Oct 1 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in Marianna, AR. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th fl., New York, NY 10001.

So sorry to read about Ben. As you all know he and my Thomas were very good friends. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
