I was friends with Dennis and Lee Harpool for several years until I left Little Rock 20 years ago when I moved to Missouri and completely lost touch. I decided to attempt to contact Lee and was extremely saddened to come across Dennis's eulogy. I visited their home frequently and Dennis was always kind, friendly and courteous in every way. I was going through some difficulties back then and Dennis and Lee were beyond supportive and generous. Dennis, may you Rest In Peace.
I first met Dennis as one of my Chemistry professors at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. We soon became roommates for a short time. I am grateful for his encouragement to finish my degree and support as a friend. And of course a bit of mentoring. I appreciated his sense of humor and vision for life and looked up to him for a bit as a big brother as I didn't have one. Not long after I met Lee. Lee was ever truthful to me about life and a kindred soul. I especially appreciated Lee allowing me to pet sit her wonderful Shih 'Tzu named Ta 'shi. What a wonderful dog. Never met another to compare since. My thoughts and prayers go out to Lee and her family. Knowing the positive influence on my life by both Dennis and Lee. I am truly grateful. I pray now that Dennis may know the true meaning of the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance he studied at the University. Rest in Peace Dennis. And thank you.
Dennis was kind to me when I was just a dumb kid. We canoed the Buffalo River together when he and my brother James were students at Arkansas. Dennis KNEW if he let me control our canoe, that all our gear was going in the river. He was clever enough to catch all our gear, and kind enough to not rub it in..... God love you, Dennis.
So sorry for your loss. As cousins we had not seen each other in years. But Aunt Virginia had always given us updates. I feel so badly that his life has ended too soon. Hopefully the thought that father, mother and son are reunited will give some comfort. Prayers have been with you all.
Dorrie
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Lee and Family,
Bobby and I were so sorry to read of Dennis' passing. I remember him as such a fun and witty person. Our heart goes out to you at this time and we pray for God's peace and comfort for you and the rest of your family.
I wish words could express how saddened I am by Dennis' passing. He was such a special friend to me these past twelve years, and I am so much better for having had him as a part of my life. I am also thankful to have gotten to know each of you because of my friendship with him.
I will always be grateful for his encouragement, advice, and humor through the years. I am so appreciative of the many times he listened without judgment, only offering his support and kindness when it was really needed.
Our final visit just seven weeks ago was very special at the time, and it means even more now. I pray that your entire family finds comfort in your memories and in strength from one another. I wish I could be there to offer this to you in person. Please know you'll be in my thoughts and prayers.
I am so sorry to hear of your loss of Dennis. I was unaware of his illness. I have known your family through my business and always benefited from your skilled computer guidance. I was a neighbor with Leslie and Daryl and my kids went to school with Christina, so I knew Barbara and Dan. I will be thinking of all or you and wish you well always.
Our thoughts and our payers are with you and your family.
Dennis was a very special friend to our son Kevin and we greatly enjoyed being around him. He always had a smile and a kind word for all. He will be greatly missed.
Blessings,
Susan and Butch

Lee and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Nothing can be said or done to make this any easier but please know there are many thoughts and prayers headed in your direction. I met Dennis in 1984 when my mother told me about a computer company looking for techs. Little did I know how lucky I was to get that chance meeting with Dennis and spend 20 years working for his company.
