Vernon Hartsil Vire

of Ozark, AR

August 31, 1933 - May 8, 2011

Mr. Vernon Hartsil Vire was born in Oark, Arkansas on August 31, 1933. He died in his home at Ozark on Mother's Day, May 8, 2011 at the age of 77. Mr. Vire was a Veteran of The United States Army during the Korean War. He retired from the U. S. Forrest Service Job Corps in Ozark, Arkansas.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his children: one son, Gary D. Vire, and wife Kathleen M. Vire, of Ozark, Arkansas; two daughters: Judy Vire Goekler of Southlake, Texas; and Kara Vire Dye and husband, Bill Dye, of Pipe Creek, Texas; and two sisters: Jewel Pack of Springdale, Arkansas and Aileen Terry of Clarksville, Arkansas. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Lewis and Laura Reed Vire; two brothers: Verlin and Basil Vire; and his beloved wife Golda Wyers Vire.

Pallbearers are: Steve Pack, Allen Vire, Jerry McKee, Ralph Wyers, Gary W. Vire, Ezra Breedlove.
Honorary Pallbearers are: Hurley Mullins and Denton Vire.

Services have been entrusted to Roller-Cox Funeral Home and are scheduled for 2 p. m. Friday, May 13, 2011 at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Amos Pledger presiding. Burial will follow at the Patterson Springs Cemetery in the Patterson Springs Community. An Open Visitation is scheduled at the Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel located at 701 Rogers Street in Clarksville, Arkansas.
