Mr. Robert E. Manning, age 64 of Mountain Home passed away Thursday, May 5, 2011 in Mountain Home. He was born May 22, 1946 in Maquoketa, Iowa to Robert and Delores Wing Manning. He married Frances V. Henry on Aug. 25, 1996 in Bettendorf, Iowa. He was a retired Navy veteran and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Manning of Mountain Home; his father, Robert D. (Mary) Manning of Maquoketa, Iowa ; his mother, Delores Wing of Virginia; 7 sons: Robert E. Manning, Jr. of Texas, Robert J. (Susan) Manning of Virginia, Dale P. Manning of Louisiana, Lonnie L.(Melissa) Allen of California, Joshua (Jenna) Manning of Nevada, Chad Manning of Mountain Home and Ryan Manning of Mountain Home; a daughter, Jodi Brincks of Iowa; a step-son, David Hines of Mountain Home; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a sister, Chelly Liles of Iowa; 2 brothers: Russell (Sharon) Manning and Jerry (Sandy) Manning, both of Virginia; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Manning and a nephew, Jamie Manning.

A memorial service, conducted by Reverend Dave Kapler will be held 10 AM Saturday, May 7 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion Honor Guard Post 52. Interment will be private.
