Bessie M. Wilson, 92, of Bono, Arkansas passed away Thursday, April 28, 2011 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Mrs. Wilson was born July 2, 1918 in McCrory, Arkansas to the late Byrd M. and Mary Jane Blackston Ashburn. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by two daughters, Betty Reynolds of Bono and Freda Clark (Charles) of Rosebud, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Debbie Spargo, Gary Reynolds, Leslie Scurlock, Randy Reynolds, and Lori Roberts; twelve great-grandchildren, sixteen great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard Wilson; and a grandson, Johnny Dunavan.
Funeral services for Bessie Wilson will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2011 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Reverend Derl Cordell and Jeremy Reynolds will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Roller-Citizens. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park.
Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena (870) 572-2571.

Was sorry to hear of Mrs. Wilson's passing. She was such a nice person and a good neighbor when she and Mr. Wilson were my neighbors. I'm sure she had a happy , productive 92 years. MerleJameson

I will really miss my sweet Aunt Bessie. She was an inspiration and blessing to me and also my mom. I'll never forget the Ashburn reunion and how happy she was to visit with others. She was the highlight of it all because of her sweet personality and compassion for others. Please know that you are all in my prayers during this most difficult season of your lives. I love you all! I have known Mrs. Wilson my entire life. She was a sweet lady and will be missed greatly. I sure wish we could have made it down for the service this weekend. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Reynolds clan. We love you guys!!

Henry and I have lost one sweet friend. She had been our neighbor for 43 years, and we loved her dearly. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family. Heaven has a special Angel.
