I met Curt when he came to New Jersey to work with the Perth Amboy Project Team (PAPT). I was the office secretary. One morning, as soon as I arrived at work, he came up to me with some plans that needed to be typed up right away. I jokingly said "gee, I haven't even had my coffee yet". What happened next was unbelievable. He walked away and returned a few minutes later with a cup of coffee in his hand for me. That was a first for me. He even apologized for rushing me. I just wanted to give him a big hug. Curt was like a big teddy bear to all of the women in the office. He was a true gentleman. When I found him on Facebook several months ago, I asked to be his friend and he responded. I was surprised that he still remember me from the 1979-1981 years he spent in New Jersey. He even said "do you still like koala bears" May God bless you Curt - you will not be forgotten by me.
I believe it was 1970 when Curt came down to El Segundo refinery as a start-up consultant for the Isomax. I worked with Curt for quite some time and became close friends. He taught me everything I know about hydrogen recycle compressors. He was a great man and will be missed.
You will always live in our hearts
It's a good thing to be set free of earthly pain. It's a good thing to love so much that gone leaves a hole in your heart. God Bless you and yours.
