It was such a pleasure to know such a kind man in such a short time. I always looked forward to seeing him at North Fork. You will be truely be missed.
To Aunt Elizabeth, Patricia,, Harold, and all of the family: I am so very sorry to hear of Uncle Bill's passing. It took me completely by surprise. I suppose I thought that there would always be time to visit on the next trip home. I want each of you to know how much I love you even though we all live apart. My favorite memory of Uncle Bill was during my years in Junior High and High School. One year I came for a visit and he took Harold and me for a trip to the woods to hunt for crystals. That day, I found the largest quartz crystal that I had ever seen amongst the roots of an old tree! It weighed in at almost a pound. I still have that crystal to this day. May the love that we feel now make up for the miles between us and keep us bonded together forever. With Much Love, Billy
As a boy, Bill Nabors was a true mentor and a tremendously positive role model for me and hundreds of others at old "Camp Tula." Now, as a parent to a teenage boy, I can only hope my son will have someone like "Mr. Nabors" in his life, too.
My deepest condolences to the family. His presence will be missed, and long remembered.
