I really appreciate all the kind words about my mom. I really miss her. I've made a page for her and will be adding more later. manilahigh dot com forward slash despain forward slash dot htm

Our family has very strong women. Aunt Juanita was no exception.

My favorite relative who was so kind to me when I arrived as her brother Othell's wife.

On behalf of my mother, Oletta, and our family, I would like to extend condolences on your loss. Mama has shared so many of her memories about Aunt Juanita - of singing and sewing and raising children, of surviving the Depression, etc. She treasures the loving sister she has lost, as I do the aunt I wish I had known better. Our prayers are with you at this difficult time.

I am sorry for the loss of Aunt Juanita. My mother, Oletta, loved her very much. As we are all still feeling the pain of losing Uncle Merle, I am especially sad to hear of this loss. It is so sad to lose them both so close together. My heart goes out to all my cousins and to my Aunt Edna for whom this must be especially difficult. My prayers are with you all. May you find comfort in your memories of her and hope in the grace of God.
