William "Bill" Jefferson Rutledge of Marianna, Arkansas passed away on June 29, 2010 at the age of 74 years.
Bill was born on December 9, 1935 in Boles, Arkansas to William Rutledge and Juanda McBride Rutledge. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War.
Bill made a living for his family as a Technical Representative, and later worked as a bus Driver and Mechanic for the Forrest City School system.
He was a member of St. Peter First Baptist Church in St. Peter, Missouri.
Loved ones surviving are his wife Charlotte of Marianna; sons William J. Rutledge Jr. and wife Brenda of Perrin, TX; Eddie Rutledge, and Mike Rutledge and wife Dana of Paragould, AR; Charlie Rutledge of Amarillo, TX; Philip Rutledge and wife Kimberly, and Kurt Adams and wife Ana of Memphis, TN; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters Irene Herron and Joann Bryan of Holub Crossing, AR; Dorothy Thieme of Searcy, AR; Arvetta Schlieve of Sunnyside, WA; Mary Vincent and husband Jack of Southaven, MS; and Linda Hill of Palestine, AR; brothers Edward Rutledge and wife Christine of Holub Crossing; Doug Rutledge and wife Amy of Searcy; Larry Rutledge and wife Bonnie of Omaha, NE; and Ronald Rutledge and wife Lynn of Searcy.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Kenneth and Earl Rutledge and one sister, Lorene Mitchell.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 1, 2010 at Moro Pentecostal Church, with burial following in Marianna Memorial Park.
Visitation will be on Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in Marianna, AR.
