Ernie William Bartlett went home to be with Jesus on June 20, 2010. Mr. Bartlett had been living at Pleasant Hill, MO, since moving from the Everton, AR area. Mr. Bartlett was born on January 1, 1923, at Compton, AR. the son of Robert Dewey and Oma Lula Pumlee Bartlett.
Ernie was united in marriage to Inez Christine Armer on September 5, 1941, at Osage, AR. Ernie was a proud father of seven children, an avid coon hunter, gardener and outdoorsman.
Mr. Bartlett was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter and son; one son Ernie Dwayne Bartlett; four brothers, Vernie, Roy Fay, Leonard and Billy Bartlett; three sisters, Aldean Bartlett, Girtrue Phillips, Ruby Armer and one son-in-law Fred Jewett.
Mr. Bartlett is survived by his wife Inez Bartlett; three daughters, Inez Charlene and husband Raymond Haile of Pleasant Hill, MO, Kathy Dean and husband Gene McCauley of Pleasant Hill, MO, and Doris Jewett of MO. One son Devoe and wife Linda Woodworth of Harrison; sister Adean and husband Joe Youngblood of Osage, AR; brother William Jasper and wife Barbara Bartlett of Compton, AR; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews all who will sadly miss him.
Visitation will be 7 - 9 PM, Thursday, June 24, 2010, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home in Harrison, AR. Services will be 2 PM, Friday, June 25, 2010, at the chapel at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home with burial in Plumlee Cemetery at Compton, AR. following the service. Bro. Steve Hogue will be speaking and Donna Plumlee and Matt Piper will be singing.
Pallbearers will be; Devoe Woodworth, David Collins, Doug Collins, Matt Wilhite, Jake Burch and German Filorio. Honorary pallbearers will be; Raymond Haile, Gene McCauley, Scott Brown, Randy Leibold, Tim Collins, Corey Collins, Christian Wilhite, Tyler Wilhite, Roger Eddings and Dan Teach.
