Richard Lynn Gillert, age 62 of Little Rock, Arkansas went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 4, 2010. He was born November 4, 1947 to Austin and Frances Gillert of Little Rock. Richard received his BA in 1972 at Tennessee Temple College. He was a former Minister of Music and currently Church Publications Director at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his parents; wife, Mary Lisa Hill Gillert; sons, Richard Leland of Atlanta, Georgia; Christopher Todd (Ginger) of Irvine, California; Daniel Neal (Samantha) of Cabot; daughter, Victoria; grandchildren, Katelyn and Austin; and brothers, Ron Gillert (Connie) of North Little Rock; and Randy Gillert (Leslie) of Hot Springs; and sister, Glenda Pastryk (Jerry) of Mishawaka, Indiana.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 8, 2010 at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church with Reverend Dave Hughey officiating. Interment to follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.

Family will receive friends 4:00-6:00 p.m., Sunday at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock, AR 72209 (501) 455-5800.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Victoria Gillert Education Trust Fund, c/o Geyer Springs First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 31510, Little Rock, AR 72260.

So sorry to hear of this. It has been so long since I last saw "Ricky" (That should give a hint how long.). I have tried through Facebook to renew old acquaintances and heard of this in that manner. I'm sure he and Mike have seen each other by now! Mike went to be with the Lord 6-6-06.Praying for the family.
