Mrs. Alverna Mae Biddle, age 86 of Star City, AR, formerly of Mountain Home, passed away Oct. 16, 2009 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She was born Feb. 17, 1923 in Modesto, Illinois to John and Bertha Critzer DeLay. She married Chester E. Biddle, Jr in 1945. She was a WWII Navy Veteran and a member of the First Baptist Church in Mountain Home. She worshiped at First Freewill Baptist Church in Star City and was a member of the Star City Garden Lover's Club.
Survivors include a son, Larry L. Biddle of Mountain Home, AR; 3 daughters: Sandra K. Biddle of Melbourne, AR, Rebecca L. Smith of Rogersville, MO and Judy A. Story of Star City, AR; 2 sisters: Norma Jean Brannon of California and Bertha Lambert of Jacksonville, Illinois. Seven grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her husband, 5 brothers: Milford, Mervin, Oakley, Charles and Joe DeLay and 2 sisters: Mary Rynders & Ina Brown. And one grandson, Russell "Rusty" Camerson Story.
Visitation will be from 2 until 3 PM Mon. Oct. 19 at Roller Funeral Home in Mtn. Home. A funeral, conducted by Rev. Dwayne Roper will be held 3 PM Mon. Oct. 19 at Roller Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Baxter Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will be held 7:00 PM Tues. Oct. 20 at the First Freewill Baptist Church in Star City, Arkansas.

Judy, I was so sorry to here about Alverna--you didn't get a whole lot of time to enjoy her being by you at Star City. We see Bob every so often here at our house. He stops to visit with David.
