Mr. Richard F. Ast, age 87 of Mountain Home, passed away Aug. 15, 2009 at Care Manor. Visitation will be from 12 until 9 PM Tues. Aug. 18 at Roller Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 6 until 8 PM. Funeral Services, conducted by Rev. Larry Olson will be 10:30 AM Wed. Aug. 19 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Interment, with military honors, will follow in Baxter Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Ast was born June 19, 1922, to Michael & Martha Ast, in Chicago, Illinois. He married Lucille Schibilla. He was an Army veteran of WWII and a founding member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. He was a member of the Ozark VFW Post 3246, the 40 & 8 Veterans organization and the American Legion Post 844.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille Ast of Mountain Home; 2 sons: Michael (Maureen) Ast of
Arlington Heights, Illinois and Leslie (Beth Ann) Ast of Michigan City, Indiana, 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Memorial Contributions are suggested to: Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House or Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
