Jimmie Albert Peel, 66, of Quitman, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2009, at his home, after a two year battle with cancer. He was born to Albert J. and Mary Frances (Harmon) Peel, in Heber Springs, AR. He and his family spent their lives living in Faulkner County. He and his wife Wanda raised Hereford cattle and were members of the Faulkner County Cattleman's Association. He loved his family, antique toys, and classic cars. He was a member of Copperas Springs Baptist Church in Guy. He was preceded in death by his father Albert J. Peel.
Those left behind are, his mother Mary Frances (Harmon) Peel; his best friend and wife of 47 years Wanda (Holland) Peel; his son Ricky Peel and granddaughter Kristina Peel both of Greenbrier, a sister Kathy Willis and a nephew Matthew Bumgartner of Quitman. He will be missed by many other relatives and friends, including his 17 year old Yorkie, Freeway.
Visitation is from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 7, at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier.
Services will be held, at 11:00 a.m.,Saturday, August 8, at Copperas Springs Baptist Church in Guy, with Pastor Gary Burdin officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery in Gravesville, with Matt Bumgartner, Mike Cook, Dudley Arnold, Jerry Peel and Bob Bumgartner serving as pallbearers.
I saw it in the paper and passed it on to Belinda, but didn't get this done right away. Just know that you all have been in our thoughts and prayers. May God give you comfort and peace, Mary & Pat

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. Wanda, you and Jim were always so nice to me when I'd come over to see Ricky. And I loved seeing the old cars Jim worked on in the shop in your back yard on Center Street in Conway.
Ricky, you've always been a brother to me & I'm so glad my folks let me know so I could send all of you my love and prayers at this difficult time.

I am really sorry for the loss that all you have taken. Jim has been a very courageous and strong person the past few years and I am so grateful that Kristina got to spend the last days with him, she has cherished him so much and I am so grateful that she had a Grandfather that cherished Rick and my daughter so much.
