Irene 'Rene' Gilreath, age 75 of Searcy, died July 16, 2009. She was born April 30, 1934 in Caraway, Arkansas to Jarvis Thomas and Elsie Arrilla Gosa Turner.
She is survived by three sons, Roy Gilreath, Jr. and wife Patty of West Point, Charles Jeremy Gilreath of West Point, and Michael DeWayne Gilreath of Searcy; four daughters, Dottie Denise Manns of Salyerville, Kentucky, Lynn Erby and husband Elvis of Harrison, Stephanie Denise Butler of West Point, and Rebecca Michelle Cohorn and husband Jason of Kensett; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and one brother Chandler Turner and wife Ada of Michigan along with a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Columbus Gilreath, Sr.; her parents; great grandson, Austin Nicholas Manns; and twelve brothers and sisters.
She loved raising kids, reading, cooking, and watching Andy Griffith.
Funeral services will be Monday, July 20, 2009 at 10:00 am in the chapel of Roller-Daniel Funeral Home with interment following at West Point Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, July 19, 2009 from 4:00-6:00pm at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home.

I miss you momma ever stinking day. My heart hurts so bad still to this day

I wanna say I miss my granny so much. I know the years have passed by so fast. Its not the same with out her. I miss that smile her drinking her coffee in the mornings well all day for that matter. Her wearing her scrubs talking about how she use to work in the kitchen and drove the bus for searcy public schools. Man I miss that women. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about her. Granny I love you and miss you. One day ill be home with you soon. She was a gtreat women and still is. Ill love her forever.

Roy and others in the family, I am so sorry to hear this news. She was a wonderful person. I hope you find great comfort in fond memories.
