Edmond Wesley Garrison, 77, of Houston, Texas passed away Monday, June 8, 2009 in Houston. Mr. Garrison was born November 15, 1931 in Cooper, Texas to the late William Walter Garrison and the late Bertha Agnes Alford Garrison. He worked as a Construction Engineer for 39 years for Bridge and Industrial Plant Construction and retired in November of 1995. He was a member of the Louisiana Society of Professional Engineers, the Masonic Lodge of West Helena, Arkansas and a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans. Mr. Garrison served the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife, Bettye Davis Garrison of Houston; two sons, Mark Garrison and wife, Mandy, of Houston, and Craig Garrison and wife, Lee, of Destin, Florida; and four grandchildren.

He was the last surviving child out of seventeen children. He was also preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services for Edmond Garrison will be held Friday, June 12, 2009 at 10 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Roller-Citizens.

Memorials may be made to Alice Bass Nursing Scholarship Fund, care of Helena National Bank, 302 Cherry Street, Helena, Arkansas 72342.
