Berna Hooper, 72, of Batesville died Saturday, December 13, 2008 at White River Medical Center.
She was born in Blackland, Arkansas on December 24, 1935 and was the daughter of Bernard Guy and Carrie (Burrow) Robertson who preceded her in death.
She was a member of Rosie Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School. Berna was a homemaker and loved her grandchildren very much. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and her church.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Pat Hooper of the home; a son, Harold Hooper of Rosie; two daughters: Linda Barber of Rosie and Susan Conder of Pleasant Plains; six grandchildren: Amanda Barber, Kassie Foree, Tressa Lumpkin, Aaron Lumpkin, Maddie Hooper and Saydi Edwards; seven step-grandchildren: Mike Hooper, Luke Hooper, Jessie Wiese, Ashley Perez, Shawn Conder, Chad Conder, and Sara Brackett; three great-grandchildren: Ryan Barber, Conner Foree and Talen Foree; and three brothers: Glen Robertson of Alabama, Billy Joe Robertson and Henry Guy Robertson both of Blackland. Other survivors include several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Rosie Baptist Church with Brother Farrell Miller officiating.
Burial will follow the services at Egner Cemetery in Salado under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be David Wyatt, Tommy Kramer, Marcus Branscum, Chad Conder, J. M. Hooper, and Kirk Miller.
