Lola "Dottie" Lorene Mayer, 90, of Ozone, Arkansas died August 7, 2008 at Johnson Regional Medical Center in Clarksville, Arkansas. Dottie was born on July 1, 1918, at Fallsville, Arkansas, to the late Charley and Chaney Belle (Cowan) Arbaugh. She was a welder and a homemaker.
Dottie leaves behind to cherish her memories two sisters, Marie Kimbrel and Jewell Stewart; one brother, Dane Arbaugh; and four grandchildren, David, Judy, Robert, and Carrie Dawn.
Dottie is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Noah Webster Cowan; two sons, Kenneth Duane and J.D. Cowan; one grandson, Michael Cowan; three brothers, Dean, Hoyt, and Alvin Arbaugh; and two sisters, Opel Stepp and Elva Cowan.
The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 9, 2008 at the Roller-Cox Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in the Oark Cemetery at Oark, Arkansas.
