Jean E. Stocker, 90, of Mountain Home, was born in Chicago, Illinois, April 14, 1918 to John Mac Donald and Gladys Bigelow (nee Pernice). She attended George Schneider Elementary and Lake View High Schools in Chicago. She Married Camiel C. Stocker on July 11, 1953 and moved to Skokie, Illinois. She worked as a Bookkeeper for 25 years for a Toy Manufacturer in Chicago. After, retirement she moved to Mountain Home in 1968, She was a member of the Baxter Medical Hospital Auxiliary Baxter County Friends of the Library, South Mountain Home Extension Homemaker Club and VFW Post 3246 Auxiliary. She also served as a board Member of the Baxter County Library, Baxter County Fair Board, and Baxter County Cooperation Extension Board. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Helen Sutter (nee Bigelow), brothers Russell Bigelow and Ronald Mac Donald, her husband, stepson Camiel P. Stocker, and nephew Delos Sutter. She is survived by Dorothy Stocker (Camiel P.), Stepdaughter Jean Sullivan (Ronald), 4 grand children, 7 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 19 at 2:00 PM at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Memorials can be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church Youth Ministry, the food pantry, or a charity of your choice.
