William Jimmy Coker, age 68 of North Little Rock passed away Tuesday, September 21,2004 at Baptist Health Springhill in North Little Rock. Mr. Coker was born in Conway, Arkansas the son of the late Alvis and Francis Coker. He was a member of the Home Builders Association of Greater Little Rock for many years building houses in Little Rock, North Little Rock and Sherwood for over forty years. He leaves a legacy of many homes built that families will enjoy for decades, if not centuries. He enjoyed spending time between his homes in North Little Rock, Hot Springs and Greenbrier. He also enjoyed a good wine and often made his own. Mr. Coker was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter Taylor Gammill.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Coker with whom he carried on a love affair for over Fifty years, one son; Rick Coker and wife Karen of Little Rock, two daughters; Vickie Waddell and husband Jimmy of North Little Rock, Christi Parish and husband Gene of Gallatin, Tennessee. Four sisters; Alice Longacre of Bald Knob, Alvidine Baptista, Linda Coker, Carolyn Coker all of Fresno California, three brothers Bobby Coker of Benton, Billy Coker of Perryville, and Sandy Coker of Tollhouse, California; six grandchildren; Ashley Wilson and husband Barrett of Sherwood, Kim Waddell of North Little Rock, Wes Coker of Alexander, Brett Waddell of North Little Rock, Blake & Lucy Gammill of Gallatin, Tennessee, and was expecting his first great-granddaughter baby Wilson. He loved spending time with His family and will be sorely missed.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 24, 2004 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel, North Little Rock (791-7400) with Rev. Maynard Gonterman officiating, interment to follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park, North Little Rock. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
