John Knox Wright, 82, of Bauxite, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, September 19, 2004. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in the Sardis Community, a 58- year member of IBEW, Local # 295 and was a World War II Army Veteran and fought under General Patton. John was the recipient of a purple heart. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his two daughters, Linda Brown of Redfield and Tanya Grant of Bauxite; six grandchildren, John Grace, Jeremiah Thrower and wife, Amanda, Kelly Grace Watts and husband, Phillip, Brittany Grant, Cheyenne and Dakota Brown; three great- grandchildren, Tristan and Hannah Thrower and Justin Watts; four sisters, Alice, Rose, Mary and Sue.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 35 years, Rosemary McMurray Wright, his parents, one son and one brother.

The funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 22nd at the Roller-Drummond Southwest Chapel with Reverend Rick Porter officiating. Interment will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M., Tuesday at the funeral home (501) 455-5800.
