Carol Sue Peterson Schaffhauser, 65, of Helena passed away Thursday, August 9, 2007 at her home in Helena. Mrs. Schaffhauser was born March 20, 1942 in Des Moines, Iowa to Rita Huss Vaughn and the late Joseph M. Vaughn.
She is survived by her husband, Tommy Schaffhauser of Helena; her mother, Rita Vaughn of Urbandale, Iowa; sons, Jeff Peterson of Helena and Randy Peterson of Urbandale, Iowa; grandson, Nicholas Peterson and granddaughter, Sophia Peterson.
Mrs. Schaffhauser was preceded in death by her father and a granddaughter, Nicole Peterson.
Services for Carol Schaffhauser will be Monday, August 13, 2007 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 6-9 p.m., with rosary services at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Helena. Father Joe Marconi will preside.

Tom, I'm so incrediably sorry for your loss. I was told Carol was a wonderful lady. I wanted you to know, you're in my thoughts and prayers.
