Benny Elliot Gwin, age 87, of Little Rock, daughter, wife, mother, sister and friend passed from this life into the presences of our Lord and Savior, January 16, 2007. She was born October 29, 1919 at Malvern, Arkansas, a daughter of Burnett and Leslie Marion Smith. A devoted wife, mother and friend she exemplified patience and grace. Her friends and family treasure her loyalty and generosity.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather Percy Alford Burnett, her husband Ermon Allen Gwin, sons Kenneth Allen and Douglas Elliot Gwin and sisters Ann Glover Koonce and Louise Keith.

She is survived by her daughter Mary Margaret Gwin, daughter-in-law Sue Gwin Potts, grandchildren Sue Ann Ward and Douglas E. Gwin, Jr.; great grandchildren Christopher, Meagan and Brandon Jones and several nephews and nieces.

The family extends a special thanks to the nurses and caregivers of Hospice Home Care and special caregivers, Louise Hill and Dee Harris.

Graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday at Social Hill Cemetery near Malvern with Terry Webster and Stanley Starling officiating.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m., Friday at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home (501)224-8300.
