Evelyn was born on August 21, 1921 in Birmingham, Alabama, to Charles and Catherine Caddell. Formerly of Orlando and Eustis, Florida, she moved to Little Rock in 2000. She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church. Prior to her move to Little Rock, Evelyn was an active member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Eustis, Florida, where she spent many hours working with the craft guild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Julia Hall; her daughter-in-law, Carmen Tarver; one sister, Ida Ross; two brothers, Fred Caddell, and his wife, Julia, and Bud Caddell; and two grandchildren, Rod Hall and Mary Hall.

She is survived by her husband, Claude P. Tarver, of Little Rock; two sons, Phillip Tarver, of Hiawaisse, Georgia, and Paul Tarver, and his wife, Daisy, of New Orleans, Louisiana; one daughter, Claudia Smith, and her husband, Derryl, of Little Rock; nine grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

The family wants to thank the staff of Parkway Village Health Center and Baptist Hospice for all of their kindness and support.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 12, 2006 at St. Mark's Episcopal Church. Arrangements are by Roller-Chenal Funeral Home (501)224-8300.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Thomas Episcopal Church Memorial Fund, 317 South Mary Street, Eustis, Florida 32726.
