Ann Marie Duerr died at her home in Huntington, AR, on Wednesday, March 30, 2011. She was born in Subiaco, AR, on April 8, 1909, to Albert and Cecilia Schoen, the fifth of nine children.
She lived most of her life in Subiaco, where she was a homemaker and active member of the community and St. Benedict's Parish. In the mid-fifties, she was president, and later secretary, of St. Benedict's Mother Society from 1958 to 1972, she worked as a clerk in Strobel's Store in Subiaco. For a number of years, she served as an elections clerk for Subiaco. She was a life-long member of St. Benedict's Parish in Subiaco until 2004, she was currently a member of Sts. Sabina and Mary, Jenny Lind.
She was married to Joseph Krallman from 1927 till his death in 1935. Later, she was married to Justin Duerr from 1936 till his death in 2002. She was also preceded in death by the children of her first marriage, Joseph Henry Duerr and Doris Ann Dobbs, and by three grandchildren.
She is survived by one sister, Celia Willems of El Paso, Tx; by two daughters Helen Marie (husband Jim) Hays of Cape Girardeau, MO, and Mary Frances (husband Earl) Wooton of her home in Huntington, AR; by a daughter-in-law Rita Duerr of Fort Smith; by 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home in Paris, AR. Rosary will be held on Sunday, April 3, at 7:45 pm in St. Benedict's Parish Church in Subiaco. The memorial mass will be on Monday, April 4, at 10:00 am in St. Benedict's Parish Church, Fr. Henry Mischkowiuski will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Paris, AR..
Pallbearers are Tom Duerr, Bob Duerr, Todd Friday, Brian Friday, Tim Dobbs and Kevin Dobbs.

I was so sorry to hear just now of your mom's death. I remember her as such a sweet-natured woman. Please accept condolences from the Martin Geels family.

Ann was such a sweet lady and i know she will be missed dearly. i was so amazed that she looked so young for her age and could make homemade bread whenever she wanted to. I am so glad that i knew her for the short time i did. I pray for God to comfort all of you, her family.
