James Franklin Chaney

of Conway, AR

January 27, 1964 - November 24, 2007

James Franklin Chaney, 43, of Vilonia, died Saturday, November 24, 2007 at Conway Regional Medical Center.

James was born January 27, 1964 in Ft. Huachuca, Arizona. He was employed in the commercial construction industry. His family remembers him as a Christian, loving father and who loved all his family and always told them he loved them. He loved watching sunsets with his children; being an outdoorsman he also loved four wheeling, tending the cattle, and keeping their lawn the most beautiful in the neighborhood with his John Deere Mower. He was fond of animals and especially Fergie and Patches, his Chihuahua dogs. You never saw James that he didn't have on his cowboy hat, even at work, his hardhat was a cowboy hat.

Halloween was James' favorite holiday, and he had even dressed up this year and went trick-or-treating with his daughters. He also loved to embarrass them-but it was all in fun. Everyone agreed that his favorite treats were Pepsi's and Reeses' cups.

James leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 22 years, Carolyn R. (Ohrt) Chaney, children, James F. Chaney, II, Anna Christine and Megan Marie Chaney, his parents, Earl Wayne and Frankie Viola (Rodgers) Chaney; his brother, Gary Wayne Chaney; nephews, Jason and Jesse Chaney all of Vilonia; uncles, Alfred M. Rodgers of Saint Petersburg, Florida; James Harold Chaney of Atlanta, Georgia; a special brother-in-law, Douglas R. Ohrt of Colorado; and several cousins and a multitude of friends.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, November 26, 2007 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Conway. 501-327-7727.
