Retha Elliott 
January 26, 1920 - December 30, 2007

Retha Elliott, 87, of Cave City formerly of Melbourne, died Sunday, December 30, 2007 at Cave City Nursing Home. She was born Monday, January 26, 1920 in Sharp County and was the daughter of George Frank and Mary (Goodman) Fleming. Retha was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Billy Ray Shreve of Melbourne; three daughters: Gladys Brashear of Melbourne, Georgia Ellison and Ilene Webb, both of West Plains, Missouri. Retha is also survived by five brothers: Billy Joe Watts of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, David Fleming of Neosho, Missouri, Danny Ray Fleming and Eugene Fleming, both of Ash Flat and Homer Fleming of Cave City; four sisters: Eletta Medlock of Walnut Ridge, Georgia Fletcher of Evening Shade, Mary Simms of Neosho, Missouri and Johnnie Mae Cagle of Fort Smith. Other survivors include ten grandchildren: Bill Webb, Cliff Webb, Debra Giles, David Ellison, Daniel Ellison, Mistydawn Shreve, Ronda Watson, Jeffrey Brashear, Rebecca Guthrie, and Don Ellison; and nineteen great-grandchildren. Retha is also survived by three special friends: Michael Wayne Lovelady of Sulphur, Louisiana, John Shreve of Liberal, Missouri and Melissa Auxier also of Liberal.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her second husband, John Elliott; her third husband, Bill Boes; step-mother, Mae Fleming; step-sister, Betty Fleming; infant son, Clyde Shreve; two great-grandchildren; and her best friend, Aldie Shreve.
Pallbearers are Cliff Webb, David Ellison, Jeffrey Brashear, Brad Guthrie, Steven Watson, Jared Giles, Christopher Jolliff and Brian Selby.
Funeral services are at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at the Roller-Crouch-McGee Chapel in Cave City with James Goodman officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 2, at the funeral home.
Burial will follow the services at the Parsley Cemetery east of Cave City under the direction of Roller-Crouch-McGee Funeral Home of Cave City.
