Ruth was born April 20, 1915 in Newnata, Arkansas to Posa and Alice (Roper) Long.
She was a member of Flatwoods Baptist Church, homemaker, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
She is survived by her son, John Crymes and wife Geraldine of Bald Knob, her daughter, Evanell Sauce and husband Buddy of Quitman; four grandchildren: Kenny Crymes and wife Cathy, Teresa Throckmorton and husband Mike, Cheryl Walters and husband Johnie and Pamela McRae and husband Scott; eight great-grandchildren: Jonathon Crymes and wife Melissa, Andrew Crymes, Sara Crymes, Caleb Throckmorton and wife Amanda, Hannah Walters, Mathew, Michael and Ann Anna Grace McRae and two great-great-grandchildren, Austin and Emmy and many other relatives and beloved friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Posa and Alice Long; her husband Dexter Crymes and three brothers and three sisters.
Visitation is 6 - 8 p.m., Monday, June 23, 2008 at Roller Crouch Chapel, Mtn. View.
Funeral service is 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at Roller Crouch Chapel, Mtn. View with Bro. Junior Avey officiating and interment in Big Springs Cemetery, Newnata.
Pallbearers are Kenny Crymes, Jonathon Crymes, Andrew Crymes, Matthew McRae, Michael McRae and Caleb Throckmorton. Honorary pallbearers are Hollis Dodson and Ralph Adams.
Roller Crouch Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
