Ted Jones, age 81, a resident of Paris, Arkansas, formerly of Dayton, Tennessee, went home to be with his Lord in heaven on Saturday, April 13, 2024.

He was born August 27, 1942 in Wayne, Michigan, but grew up in Newton, Mississippi. He attended Newton High School and then graduated with a associate degree in drafting from Mississippi Gulf Coast Junior College. Ted was a proud veteran, serving in the United States Army. Ted loved the Lord and as an ordained minister shared the gospel with everyone he met. His greatest joy was teaching Bible classes.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie B. and Cecelia Julia (Carlson) Jones and two brothers, Merton "Joe" Jones and James L. Jones.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Lyn of Paris; sons, Ted Jones of Magazine, Arkansas, Tige Ustick and wife, Becky of Paris, Arkansas, daughters, April Vasil of Texas, Jenny Chachere and husband, Marty of Texas, Toni Smith of McConnelsville, Ohio, Barbara Deemer and husband, David of Bentonville, Arkansas; ten grandchildren and two sisters, Shirley Gates and Betty Jones both of Dayton, Tennessee.

A memorial service will be held at the Bogles Chapel Church in Evensville, Tennessee on April 20, 2024 beginning at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Pastor Aaron Revis. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.

Prayers for Mr Ted's family he was certainly a man of God and was a blessing to have known. I will forever be grateful for having the opportunity to know him and Lyn they hold a precious spot in my heart.

Ted was my Uncle, my Dad's baby brother. I recently had a good visit with Ted & Lyn both and as far as I am concerned, it was a great visit. My wife and I both loved Ted and I know that we will miss him, but I also know that he is at Peace now. Love you Ted and Lyn both.
