Shirley Sue Frost

of Clarksville, AR

July 13, 1946 - April 12, 2024

Shirley Sue Frost passed away on April 12, 2024 at her home in Clarksville, Arkansas at the age of 77. She was born on July 13, 1946 to the late Clyde and Ada (Rowbotham) Morgan in Hagarville, Arkansas.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Bob Lowell Frost; her parents and one sister, Leona Jennings Curtis.

She is survived by two sons, Craig and Shelley Frost of Clarksville, Don Alan and Laura Frost of North Little Rock; six grandchildren, Hall and Elaine Frost of Rogers, Rachel and Aaron Burlsworth of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Isaac Frost of Springdale, Ty Frost of Clarksville, Zane Frost of North Little Rock and Kiley Frost of North Little Rock; one sister, Mildred Dinsmore of Clarksville and a multitude of extended family and friends.
Shirley loved her church family at the Clarksville Church of Christ. Her family and friends are comforted by the beautiful hope they share with her of eternal life in the presence of the Lord.

Shirley made a lasting impact on those around her with an exemplary life of service. She worked as an aide for many years at Forrester-Davis providing love and care to those with special needs. She taught children's Bible classes at the Clarksville Church. She was a counselor ready to listen to many who spent time on her deck, sat at her table and talked on the phone. She provided countless meals to people who were hurting, made visits to the sick and lonely and coordinated food and events for her church family. She would be found most Thursdays, with her favorite groups of friends sharing lunch together. Shirley was also a woman of prayer and deep faith.
Shirley and her husband, Bob were a formidable team. They served together on mission trips to Bulgaria, worked with young people taking them to youth events and activities across the region and served as tour directors for numerous senior citizen trips to Branson, Missouri. They were devoted parents and grandparents, affectionately known as Pa and Granny.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 16, 2024 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will be held at Mt. Airy Cemetery, 222 County Road 3519, Clarksville on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 10:00 AM with Craig Frost, Don Alan Frost and Jake Chism officiating.

Hall Frost, Isaac Frost, Ty Frost, Zane Frost, Morgan Jennings and Luis Contreras will serve as pallbearers.

I love Shirley. She was a true blessing in my life. She was always there when I needed a friend. This world won't be the same without her. I will miss our Thursday lunches, phone calls, and sweet texts. There will forever be a hole in my heart that only she could fill. Peace and comfort for the family and friends. You all are in my prayers.

Ever since the first day me and my sister went to see Shirley we have always had her in our minds. We would go up after school everyday and do things around the house for her and sit in the kitchen at her table a have a chat about school, how are day was, and how we have been doing. She enjoyed us coming up to visit her and every chance we had we were up at her house chatting. We mean't alot to her she had told us that me and my sister were like grandchildern to her. And we enjoyed seeing her smile about things we said and have done. We are going to severly miss her she will always be in our hearts and be remember as the sweetist lady we have ever met. You will be missed Shirley and he all hope and pray you will have a good time up in heaven and being reunited with your soulmate Bob!

I have know Shirley for all my life. We even played softball together when the church leagues first formed many years ago. She taught both of my children and she was an excellent teacher not only about the Bible but through her actions. I could say she walked what she taught. For about the last 3 years I was Shirley gardener. I always enjoyed coming to her house to work. She always had me good refreshments and would say now come in if you get too hot. After I would finish my jobs we would always sit at her kitchen table or on her deck and have some if the best visits. Shirley was someone who always listened to me and could be trusted not to tell things I wanted to be kept between us. I will miss her so much but I am happy she is with Bob because he was the love of her life and she missed him so much.

Shirley will be greatly missed by her church & I know her family as well. My parents loved Bob & Shirley and recounted many fun times they had with them on church trips.

Shirley had a servant heart and was always reaching out to others to help.
