I absolutely loved this woman we worked at DHS together. She was such a great friend and gave the best advice on days that I was overwhelmed and down. I have such admiration for her and my sister did too. She would dress like Maxine on Halloween, she was so funny. Get your rest Bettye.

Sorry for your loss James, David, and families. When we were growing up, she was my Aunt. When I moved back, she was a great neighbor and friend. We had some fun talks. She will be missed. God bless you all.

Bettye was a wonderful, fun, and caring co-worker and friend. She taught me so much about working with children and families and how to roll with the punches with that signature laughter of hers. She will be remembered and missed by many!

Bettye was an amazing lady! She loved and served her community for so many years. She has touched countless lives of the children and families she served while at Faulkner County Day School and DHS. She was loving, selfless, and absolutely hilarious. I will miss you sweet friend!

Bettye was a lifesaver when I first began my journey at FCDS as the Early Childhood Program Director. She worked so had and loved the children just as hard! She also kept us laughing…those big belly laughs that everyone needs. She continued working in our Early intervention program where she went into homes and helped parents with their little ones who were delayed in development (at first, then they were on age level after intervention many times). She could tell you many stories about goats and other amazing things from her visits. She also could tell you about heartache with all those visits. She truly loved the families and gave all she had to them, never giving up and going above and beyond in her work. Bettye took a job with Developmental Disabilities Services when our grant was done. She did the same thing with that job—working tirelessly, driven by love. She loved big and deeply and I am so glad to have known her. I love you Bettye. The world was a better place with Bettye Starkey in it.
