Marie Eleanor Bartholomew, age 96, of Marble Falls, Arkansas passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. Marie was born September 1, 1927 in Des Moines, Iowa. She is the daughter of George and Beatrice Williams. Along with her parents, Marie is preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Ed Bartholomew; brothers, Jim, Roy, and Bob and sisters, Mary and Ruth.

Marie's passion was her love for family and friends. She enjoyed life to the fullest and truly believed life was good. Her joy was making others smile. She had made many friends and touched many lives with her love and passion for others. She created so many memories that will last forever.

Marie is survived by her son, Eddie (Shari); daughters, Debbie (Dean) and Vickie (Jerry); grandchildren, Jeff (Cindy), Eddie Bob (Eva), Chris (Friend Traci), Nicole (Tim), Jamie (Jeremy), Codie (Sam) and Ty (Hope); great-grandchildren, Hali, Jude, Bella, Addie, Kayla, Lexi, T.J., Lainey, Kylee, Logan, Tatum, Theo, Evelyn, Aurie, Cameron, Jeff and Brooks and many other family and friends who will dearly miss her.


Graveside service was held on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Jasper Cemetery in Jasper, Arkansas with James Compton officiating.

Pallbearers were Jeff, Eddie Bob, Chris, Ty, Codie, Logan, Jude and T.J.

I remember Marie from back when I was just a little girl and you guys still
lived in Iowa , my mom said up until the day that she passed away. Marie was her best friend even though they hadn’t seen or talked to each other in years , and all the fun we had when we visited at Mill Creek Thank you for the memories , sorry for your loss Pat, Vickie , Mike Reed

We will miss Marie so very much. She always treated us like family. We loved hearing all of her stories from her lifetime. We always will remember her stopping be our camper on her golf cart and saying “you got a beer” Rest in peace Marie.

We are really sorry to hear of Marie passing. She was a super lady, funny and great to be around. We always had a good time at Mill Creek with The whole family. After we moved and with all my health problems, it was just to hard To go back for Eddies good cooking and all the visiting and fun. Missed it and all of you so much. Prayers for the family.
