Ronnie Joe Smith, age 66, of Harrison, passed away Monday, February 26, 2024, at Hospice of the Hills Hospice House. He was born September 1, 1957, in Harrison to Verlin G. and Edith K. Campbell Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Ron was a lifelong resident of Boone County and married Becky Nichols 41 years ago. He was a residential contractor building dream homes for many throughout the surrounding counties. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved deer hunting, working in the garden, and loved all animals.
Ron is survived by his wife, Becky; his son, Cory Joe Smith and his daughter, Teresa Jane Smith; his siblings and their spouses, Bill R. and Avalee Smith, Charles K. and Shirley Smith, Sharon K. and Lonnie Rogers and Gary D. and Wanda Smith.
The visitation was on Friday, March 1, 2024, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
Per Ron's wishes, the interment was private.
