Jeffrey Ray Crum II of Heth, AR August 5, 1966 - April 24, 2023
Jeffrey Ray Crum II of Blackfish Lake, AR jumped into the arms of Jesus Monday afternoon the 24th of April 2023.
Jeff was remarkably cultivated, well traveled, and educated, but he never forgot his roots or the family and the community that raised him. Making the circle from Arkansas, to Kansas, on to New Mexico, and home again, Jeff rarely forgot a face.
He leaves the protection of others to his brothers in blue and the rescue to every fireman and paramedic he honorably served beside. To those corporate colleagues both from the public and private sectors, he would encourage you to fight the good fight, that's the only way you'll be able to rest at night.
Jeff was most passionate about farming. Ever a student, he was always ready to learn cutting edge agricultural practices and never missed an opportunity to fellowship with other farmers. To every farmer, agricultural partner, vendor, financing team, agricultural enthusiast and landlord, thank you for helping our principal farmer do what he absolutely loved to do. Remember to be good stewards of the land because God is not making anymore of it.
We praise God for Jeff's salvation. To all of those near, far, and in between, find a Bible preaching church with members who lift each other in prayer. From a youthful Christian beginning at Shell Baptist Church, time spent with believers at Bellevue Baptist Church, and finally to finding a home at Three Trees Cowboy Church of Wynne, we thank you all for the part you played in Jeff's walk with Christ.
In addition to a lengthy list of friends, too numerous to share, Jeff leaves behind his parents Jeffry Crum Sr of Kansas City, MO; Linda (Charles) Poole of Millington, TN; Uncle Bob (Shelly) Crum of Bentonville, AR; Aunt Teddy Lineberry, of Glasco, KS, Brothers, Lee (Becky) Ward of Blackfish, AR, Jason (Robyn) Ward of West Memphis, AR, and Keith Crum.
Jeff was most proud and found great joy in the family he and wife, Annette, blended together. A great dad, Jeff often spoiled both his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Annette and daughter, Carolanne McCollum of the home in Heth, AR, daughter, Taylor (Tommy) McClain of Jackson, TN; sons Caleb (Marissa) Crum of Los Lunas, NM, Tanner (Savanna) Haney, and Kyle (Chloe) Crum of Cherry Valley, AR, along with Caleb and Kyle's mother, Julie Crum of Lankin, KS. PawPaw Jeff's grandchildren include Henley, Millie, and Murphy McClain of TN; Ivan, Cecilia, and Theodore Crum of NM; and Addie Hardin & Colten Haney of MS.
Jeff refused a funeral service. He is quoted to say, ''It's planting season and no one has time for that.'' The family will plan a celebration of his life at Three Trees Cowboy Church in Wynne, AR at a later date. Details will be shared once these plans are finalized.
The family wishes to thank the members of Three Trees Cowboy Church, Wynne School District staff and student body, for their prayers. Special thanks to Pastors Tracy Wilson and Chris Stover of Three Trees Cowboy Church for their visits, counseling, and prayers during Jeff's final earthly days. Jeff had the best possible nursing and specialist care team through Baptist Memorial Hospital, but God's calling was absolute. Our family appreciates the outpouring of prayers, gifts of food, and healing hugs from family, friends, and the community. Your prayerful petitions for peace and comfort have been felt.
In the way of memorials, please consider making a donation in Jeff's name to the many missions supported by Three Trees Cowboy Church in Wynne, AR. May God bless and multiply your gift.
To members of the agricultural community, Jeff would ask you to find a young person to pour agricultural knowledge into and may God be glorified in your efforts to farm on.
One month. Even though I know where your soul is, I miss you so much. Loved you then, love you now, and always.
Praying for the family during this time.
