Carl Ricky Parris, age 69, passed away at his sister's home in Proctor, Arkansas Sunday, April 9, 2023. Better known as simply Ricky, he was born March 2, 1954 in St. Louis, Missouri to parents, Edward and Onita Parris.
Ricky was known to be a ''free spirited'' man who seemed destined to travel from place to place carving his own path in life like the song lyrics read ''Wherever he laid his hat was his home'' and he lived it.
Ricky is survived by daughters, Jennifer Parris of Florida and Kerry Spain (Bill) of Illinois. He is also survived by his sisters, Linda Nesselroad (Jimmie) of Proctor, Arkansas and Penny Wood, along with a number of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Dennis Parris, Jimmie Parris and Buddy Edward Parris Jr.; as well as his sister, Barbara Edwards.
A Celebration of Life for Ricky will be held on May 28, 2023 at 3:00 PM at the home of Linda and Jimmie Nesselroad located at 54 Small Acres Rd. in Proctor, Arkansas 72376.
