John Christopher Medeiros, 67, of Trumann, AR passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. He was born on October 17, 1956 in Brooklyn, NY to Charles and Louise (Pilato) Medeiros. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Trumann, AR. John worked as a self-employed tax preparer until his retirement. He served his country in the United States Air Force and was a proud Vietnam War veteran. He was a secretary of the First Assembly of God Church in Trumann. He loved to travel and was an avid reader. John was a jokester and loved to play pranks on friends and loved ones. John faced his adversities with good humor, smiling through pain and using laughter as medicine. He loved his God and his country and will be remembered as a true patriot. John had a deep love for his family, his friends and his church. He will be remembered for always being there to lend a hand, whether the need was personal or financial. John loved Donald Trump and looked forward to his re-election.
John is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Ricky and Kenneth Medeiros.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 26 years, Ellen Medeiros; daughters, Angela Williams (Steve) of Jonesboro, AR, Rhonda McPhink (Jeff) of Trumann, AR and Brittanni Dillinger (Dennis) of Alexandria, VA; grandchildren, Aaron Monreal, Andrea Monreal, Anthony McPhink, Michael McPhink, Whitney Holman, Vicki Brantingham and Carrie Vaught; 9 great grandchildren; sister, Julieana Modjeski (Michael) of Marysville, WA; nephews, Anthony and Charles and niece, Kristina and a host of friends and loved ones.
Funeral services will be held at First Assembly of God Church in Trumann, AR on Friday, January 26, 2024 beginning at 2pm with Kenneth Doke and Jared Maxwell officiating.
Visitation will be at Roller Farmers Union Funeral Home in Jonesboro, AR on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 5pm.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Tommy Coin, Timmy King, Joseph Elrod, Nickey Stockton, Anthony McPhink and Michael McPhink. Honorary pallbearers will be James Kimberland, Lloyd Inzer and Jerry Owens.
Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home.
