It's hard to imagine the world without the giant of a man known as Charlie Cockman. I think I've known him forever. He was a man who loved with his whole heart, had a passion for his Lord, his family and his friends, and a laugh that was as big as he was. I loved Charlie Cockman and, I know he loved me as I know he loved my parents, my children and my aunt and uncle. You never had to doubt this man's capacity for love and for living. I will miss him and there'll never be another just like him. Thank you Charlie for all you gave, for all the fun, laughter, and memories we shared. We were family. I'm sure he's in Heaven today and has everybody's attention and is telling stories to my Uncle Ira and to Daddy Bill and that just makes my heart happy to know they're all together again and having fun right there in front of God and everybody!
To Pat, Valerie and Tracy - no man every loved their family like your Daddy. You were all so precious to him. Remember him with smiles. He was the best!
I wish I could be with you during this time, but we are expecting our third grandchild - this one from Jody & his wife - and after two little boys from Amy, we're finally having a girl. Charlie would approve. I will be in Austin, TX, but my thoughts and my heart are with you all. I love you to pieces. Always, Sissy xoxo Saturday, March 31, 2012 |
