Hello Billy & Cheryl, My mom is in visiting for the weekend and just shared with me that Ms. Pauline passed away. I was unaware, but wanted you to know that I was thinking of you both. As you already know Ms. Pauline was such an important part of so many of our lives back in Helena. I can remember the little house we used to dance in and then the move to the 'big' house. Thanks to both of you for sharing your homes with all of us and your lives as well. I have often looked back over those years and wondered how she created all those dance routines and remembered them all (when I could not remember my own!), ordered all those 45 records, planned and sewed all those beautiful costumes, and then conducted a high quality dance recital.
I'll tell you a funny story...When I moved to Lexington, I wanted my daughter to take tap/ballet/jazz, just like I did. Well, I went to my 1st recital and much to my dismay the girls were not pointing their toes (a big NO - NO), their form was poor and their ugly costumes were all store-bought. They would sure not live up to Ms. Pauline's standards - probably one the stage or otherwise. She really did teach us much more than dance - doing your best, looking your best (she was always the 1st to notice when I put on a couple of pounds or lost a couple of pounds), being respectful, taking risks, confidence, taking care of our bodies, time-management, and the list goes on. All us kids were so lucky to have such a brilliant artist and mentor in our lives. Much love, Lea Sunday, September 30, 2012 |

Billy and Cheryl, Ms. Pauline was an important part of my growing up years--she was an encourager, a delightful lady who wholeheartedly cared about the young people she taught. She was disciplined and she required discipline in class, but she made it so much fun that you wanted to please her. Ms. Pauline found things to praise in all of us, the talented and the not-so talented alike. Both a role model and a friend, Ms. Pauline truly enriched my life. Thursday, April 12, 2012 |

We are not immortal but Pauline has had so much impact on so many people that she will continue to affect generations to come. The memories she inspired carries me through the thoughts of loss. My prayer is that your memories will lift you through this transition. Rusty Porter Wednesday, April 11, 2012 |

To Mrs. Pauline's sweet family, I was so sorry to hear of Mrs. Pauline's passing. I have very fond memories of her after I got involved with HLT productions. She was so very gifted and shared her talents with us who have "2 left feet" trying to help us with the choreography of each show. I always enjoyed chatting with her and hearing her beautiful British accent. Somehow it made her just that much more "refined" and special to us folks of the Delta!! Even now as we're working on "Cinderella", I sometimes expect to see her standing at the stage door calling for us to get ready or "BE QUIET!". Praying for God's peace at this sad time. My girls and I left Helena long ago, but one of the memories we have held for years was of Pauline and all the actiities in which Pauline was part of. My girls took dance from Pauline and she and I worked on many shows at PCCC together. Although we have not seen her in many years, she was and will always be someone very special in our lives and knowing she is no longer with us makes me cry. Pauline I wish you could know how special you were and not only to me but to many. We will miss you. Billy and Cheryl you are in our prayers.
