I send sincere condolences to Linda , her sister and all the family. I grew up in the Congo Community with Carolyn. I knew all her family well as my parents Noel and Zelma Brown were good friends of her parents. I remember that we used to get together as families almost every Saturday night to make home made ice cream in the summer time. It was a wonderful time. I brings me sadness to learn of her death but it also brings me joy to learn of her going to join her beloved sister, parents, and grandparents in the heavens. She was a wonderful person to know. I was so sorry to hear about Carolyn. I worked with Carolyn at Hendrix College years ago around the time I got married. I worked right outside her office and thought she was a very wonderful and sweet lady. I know that she will be missed greatly. Thursday, July 12, 2012 |

Linda, Mike and family My special memories of life with people such as Aunt Carolyn are what we treasure. I still have all the books that she gave to Joshua as he was growing up. She always shared her love of books. Also, those wonderful sausage balls that she would make for the holidays My thoughts are with you always Christena Thursday, July 12, 2012 |

Dear Linda: I worked with Carolyn every day as a student worker from Dec1986 to Summer of 88. Her guidance into Librarianship helped me form that as a career Path. After Graduate School in which Carolyn Wrote one of my recommendations, I received my Masters MLS, and I went on to become a Library Director in Mississippi for 25 years. She was a very fine southern Lady..My condolences on your loss as I will be unable to attend living out of state.. Wednesday, July 11, 2012 |

As a work-study student for two years at Hendrix, I worked with Ms. Raney downstairs at the Library. Her kind nature made for such a relaxed environment, something I always appreciated. My condolences to the family. Wednesday, July 11, 2012 |

Linda, I was saddened to hear of Carolyn's death. She and I have been colleagues and friends since 1967 when I came to Hendrix as a librarian. We worked and traveled together. She loved her family greatlly. It seems that I know all of you because she shared so much of her family's life with me. I regret that I will be unable to attend her memorial service but know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. With love, JoAnn Wednesday, July 11, 2012 |

Carolyn is a dear friend that we will miss. Her generosity and committment to Round Mountain Community Church were amazing. What a grand lady was she! I know the heavenly choirs are sweeter since she arrived.
Linda, We hope you upheld by those ministering angels in Hebrews Chapter one.
