This is a message that was e-mailed to me by the Chief Engineer at the Seismological Laboratory: "I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Billy Barber. He was a remarkable individual. I referred to him as a "Renaissance Man" because it seemed that there was nothing that he couldn't do. We worked together on very many exciting projects and he always had good ideas and made important contributions." Wayne Miller Friday, June 01, 2012 |

Billy was a good friend and colleague at the Seismo Lab. I talked to him on Tuesday, May 8th and wished him a happy belated birthday. He sounded like he was cooperating with the process. I greatly admire his dignity. He is a good soul. The world is a sadder place with him. Rest in peace, dear BEB. Thursday, May 31, 2012 |

"Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, May looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow." Peace to you and your family. Tuesday, May 15, 2012 |
