To Joseph, Natalie and family and Letisha and Family, it was with great sadness I learned that Joyce had been called Home. God took an angel home. Joyce was such a kind and considerate person; she loved the Lord and did not hide that love; she would help anyone in need. I has privileged to have worked with Joyce and considered her a good friend; unfortunately in later years we did not see each other, but she was always in my prayers and in my thoughts; Joyce faced the hurdles in her life with great strength and courage; her children were her life and she was so proud of each and everyone. She will be missed but will forever remain in our hearts. with heartfelt sympathy, Chris Friday, April 20, 2012 |

I thank God for the privilege of knowing Joyce and being her friend. What an inspiration she was, and continues to be in all of our lives. Never have I known someone, who was so transparent in her faith and walk with Jesus. I loved her dearly and look forward to seeing her again one sweet day. She was an amazing daughter, sister, mother and grandmother, and I pray for the family she loved so well. I loved hearing the stories from the office and I know her co-workers and clients miss her presence. Her friends were richly blessed to be invited to her home often. Her hospitality and creativity were true gifts. My dear Joyce, we all love you and miss you!!! RIP, sweet friend!!! Wednesday, April 04, 2012 |

To all of Joyce's family: I will always treasure Joyce and the times we shared in high school (dragging main in Old Blue a few times at most--Spanish with Mrs. Fletcher among other things). Most of all, I will treasure the times we had when we connected again five years ago. Her love of Jesus was so very important to her. I learned so much from her about making that relationship personal--not just occupying a pew but feeling His presence within always. We shared how different our lives are compared to what we thought they would be when we reached this age. We laughed; we cried; we hugged; we shared the good and the bad. Most of all we loved as sisters in Christ. Joyce made a difference in my life!!! Thank you, my sister. . .

To all of Joyce's family, My prayers and condolences are with you all. Joyce and I "clicked" immediately when I began weekly trips to her office. She was so proud of her family (and didn't mind talking about them at all). My son attends UA Fayetteville and her face would light up immediately when she spoke of her son's education and "college life" too. I will miss her tremendously and think of her every time I go to the Treasurer's Office. Her family will remain in my thoughts as well.
Rest peacefully Joyce and keep smiling on all of us!!

Joyce, you will always be missed, but you prepared your children well to live honorably and joyously. Rest in peace, my dear friend. Your work is done, your race is won. Love, Deborah
