Dr. Heather Leigh Woolverton
November 20, 1952 - November 19, 2009

Francie Haver

San Antonio, TX

I just learned of Heather's death while attending our 40th high school reunion. When I saw her name on the "deceased" list, I gasped. Not Heather!! Not my little buddy from Heaton Jr. High and on to East High. Not the Heather that came to see me in San Antonio while she was attending Texas A&M, bypassing her Master's degree and going straight for her doctorate!

I have many fond memories of church chior, church camp, and just plain growing up together.

Hugs to her mother and sister.

Connie Patton

honolulu, HI

Heather and I were great friends in high school and a few
after. Our lives went in different directions and I only heard from her a few times in recent years. I will always have a special place in my heart for her. She was a wonderful person. My sympathy to her family.

Heather was my choir buddy for over eleven years. She taught me how to sing. She was a constant and steadfast friend and I will miss her so much. Heaven is richer now with her there.

I work in the Chemistry Department at UCA, and although I didn't know Heather personally, I have heard so many good things about her and know she will be missed. To Heather's friends and family, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

I had Dr. Woolverton for physics at UCA. She was funny and upbeat all the time, and I admired her for teaching although she was not well. She will be missed.

Heather made us feel like we were amog angels with her music when we went down for our first cup of coffee at Cursillo.

I knew Heather when she and her family were living in CO. Both of us were majoring in physics. She was an inspirational achiever then and I'm sure she never stopped inspiring or achieving as she went on to teach. I could never keep up with her. She was smart, ambitious; but most of all she was fun to be with. I regret deeply that I didn't keep in touch with her. She was a good person, a talented physicist and a joy to be around. My heart goes out to her family, colleagues, friends and students. She passed too soon. Our loss is God's gain.

Terri Harrison and Willie Lawson

Greenbrier, AR

We loved her so much and loved talking to her while visiting at UCA. She was always so much fun, energetic, and full of spirit. Her smiles were worth a million and always an uplift when she walked in the office. Although I never had her as my professor, she was a great friend that we will dearly miss.

With all of prayers and love,

Terri Harrison ( Vicky's sister)
Willie Lawson (Vicky's mom)

To Heather's family: Heather was a joy. We had such fun walking around the track and whenever we saw each other at faculty functions. She will be greatly missed. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
